Who is Giovanni Cordova?
Giovanni Cordova is an audio engineer born and raised in Sirmione, Italy, specialising in mixing and mastering. From Abbey Road Studios to fully remote sessions, he has shaped the sound of independent artists, major-label releases, and music icons like Giorgio Moroder. Trusted by hundreds of creatives across five continents, he brings over a decade of experience to every project. He studied at SAE Institute in Amsterdam, earning a Diploma and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Audio Production validated by Middlesex University. He collaborated with Studio 13, the London creative hub founded by Damon Albarn, working alongside sessions for mainstream artists. That trajectory took him to Abbey Road and to clients on every continent but Antarctica, from full orchestral productions to stripped-back bedroom demos. His credits include mixing "The Guardian" by Giorgio Moroder for the OOPS/UNICEF light show at the Winter Olympics, and engineering major-label releases featured on Spotify's New Music Friday and editorial playlists. Hundreds of clients worldwide and 100+ five-star reviews on SoundBetter. The work covers mixing, mastering, vocal production, and podcast and audiobook production, all through a hybrid analogue and digital setup. Each project begins with the artist's vision and runs through to the final master. He has written about audio engineering for Sound on Sound magazine and has been featured in the Audeze Artist Series and Giornale di Brescia. Alongside the engineering work, he builds tools for the craft: he created ChapterPass, a mastering platform for audiobook creators that bridges his audio work and his work as a technology builder.
